About

Rhoden Law Firm

I’m Garry Rhoden. I grew up in a small town in the rural south that taught hard work and common sense. Before entering the legal profession, I worked as a laborer in the phosphate mines and loading docks, lifeguard, waiter, and even as a janitor. Since those days, however, I have 25 years’ experience in the legal profession, primarily working on cases involving nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. I defended these facilities at first, but after seeing the injustices done, and my own father victimized, I knew I needed to switch sides, to fill a need, and do what I could to help those victimized by big business and the investors who operate most of these facilities in the United States. Since then, and for 20 years now, I have represented victims of nursing home and assisted living facility abuse and neglect. I’m also proud to say that I’m one of the few attorneys in the country who has tried and arbitrated to verdict elder abuse and neglect cases in multiple jurisdictions.

My litigation experience is broad, and over my career I’ve handled cases involving contract disputes, class actions, real estate disputes, business disputes, the sale of unsuitable investment securities to investors, professional negligence involving attorneys, hospitals, medical clinics, and physicians, and cases involving defective products such as medical devices, agricultural equipment, pharmaceuticals, and recreational and industrial products.

I’ve recovered tens of millions of dollars in claims and judgments for my clients, taken or defended hundreds of depositions, been lead counsel in over 150 hearings and mediations, and served as trial counsel in numerous trials and arbitrations.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time on our family farm and ranch. My wife and I joke that we have 51 children: 3 human, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 35 chickens, 2 horses, and 2 cows.

Let me end by saying that I’ve been fortunate enough to be in this profession for a while now, so I understand how difficult the litigation process can be for someone who has been injured or for a family member bringing a claim on their loved one’s behalf.
